​Mya Jenkinson​

​

Mya has been a member of the Fort Myers Track Club since she was 8 years old, participating in numerous races and volunteering at FMTC events. She is passionate about both running and volunteering with the track club. Throughout her athletic journey, Mya has been involved in the elementary school run club and was a part of the middle and high school teams at Cypress Lake. She has also returned to Cypress Lake Middle School to volunteer with their teams. In high school, she served as a team captain for her cross-country team.

Although Mya does not plan to run at the collegiate level, she intends to continue her running journey by joining the run club at Florida International University (FIU). Since October, she has been working at Fleet Feet and plans to transfer to a store in Miami while attending FIU.

Mya is an exceptional student, taking advanced classes throughout high school and earning an AICE diploma while also completing AP and dual enrollment courses. She currently holds leadership positions in both Model United Nations and the Orchestra program at Cypress Lake High School. Mya plans to pursue a professional master’s degree in architecture at Florida International University.
